A lampshade manufactured from a clear 800um frosted polypropylene sheet. That's what we were asked to produce for a new client, looking to design and market a range of designer shades for the UK market. Why were we asked to get involved? Because we were able to offer a short run full colour (CMYK) screen print production service that other companies were not prepared to entertain.
Our ability to work with the designer at such an early stage of the project meant that we were able to advise and resolve issues as they arose. Using our standard production equipment we were able to set up and screen print the eye catching design without too much fuss. Our preferred ink is a UV curing trichomatic set which gives us good strong colour balance straight out of the can.
Being able to control all aspects of the production meant that we quickly turned the blank material into a striking four sided lampshade design which was finished compleely on our own cutting presses. We produced a short run of 200 pieces, using four colour process print techniques.
