Following the successful production run last year of the main building signage for all of the Approved Mobile Workshop garages in the British Isles, we were asked to prepare a quantity of vehicle graphics to the same high standard.
Whereas the building signage had needed to be mounted onto 3.0mm Dibond in order that the signs could be securely fixed to the exterior surfaces of the premises, these vehicle graphics were produced onto 7 year life high white vinyl which would allow them to be stuck directly onto the vehicle doors. They were covered with a UV protection film to aid longevity too. |

In total we had to screen print some six colours to make up the final design. One could argue that these vehicle signs could have been considered for production via a digital process, thereby speeding up the manufacturing process and cutting costs.
Whilst the cost cutting statement may hold some truth, the real reason for screen printing these graphics is the strength of colour that we can achieve using solid colour inks. When combined with the UV protection film, these finished graphics look the business! |
