 Our well proven M1200 has recently undergone a retrospective upgrade to fit a highly versatile oscillating knife. This new addition to the tool set means that we can now quickly and easily convert soft sheet materials upto 10mm in thickness without the need for hard tooling. The knife works by oscillating at a very high speed as it is drawn around the chosen profile. This ensures that the material is "sawn" rather than drag cut. Often on thicker soft display materials, the normal dragging action would have a tendency to chew over the edge and leave a less than favourable result. This new knife can impart a much cleaner cut which is far more desirable.
We can now offer a valuable service to other companies wishing to profile out mounted display boards and printed foam core sheets, where traditionally they would have needed to have organised a cutting forme, which can often be expensive and time consuming. This new service ensures that the conversion process can take place pretty much same day / next day and without the hassle of needing hard tooling. A real benefit to users is the ability to change the cutting profile on the fly. With soft changes being made in seconds the profile to be cut can be adjusted until the end result is perfect, great for pleasing even the most demanding customer!
