Maidenhead based specialist decorative label manufacturer, Label Form Ltd. began life in 1964, and now 40 years on, are evolving their identity to better reflect their diversity and capabilities. This meant that the existing building signage needed to be updated quickly and cost effectively. Sales Manager Graham Church, contacted Evans Graphics to sound out the options available. The new signage needed to be suitable to convey the re-designed logo and to portray the correct professional image. A thorough site visit was completed within a few short days, and a comprehensive brief was taken and discussd.
Being able to utilise the existing sign pans was not an option otherwise put forward, but Steve Tilbury, MD of Evans Graphics Ltd quickly realised the potential to refurbish the main building fascia, thereby ensuring that the signage down time was kept to an absolute minimum, and that the costs could also be tightly controlled. Designs and ideas were worked upon to make sure that everybody was in agreement with the proposal, and Label Form were able to put their own design experience to good use in suggesting various styles to work with.
In total there were two signs needed, one being some 4.4 metres in length by 600mm depth, fashioned from folded aluminium pans finished in a hard wearing exterior grade white powder coat, whilst the second sign was fabricated complete by Evans using anodised aluminium extrusion with 5.0mm white foamed PVC for the main signboard material. Being equipped with hi-resolution solvent based digital ink-jet print equipment gave the finishing touches that extra bit of polish. The "fading from one colour to another" design of the new Label Form corporate image called for some clever thinking from the Evans studio team, but they came up trumps with a winning combination of materials and techniques to construct two superb looking building signs.
The signs were erected by Evans own fitting team in good time. Exactly as promised for the Mayoral opening ceremony on Tuesday 10th August. Suffice to say, the new signage looked excellent, and everybody was very pleased with the successful outcome.
