"I need 50 off plates, all individually numbered, and about A5 in size" .... this was how the conversation started when Air Fayre Limited, part of Watermark Group plc needed to obtain individual parking permits, which could be handed out upon arrival to visitors, and collected afterwards when the vehicle was leaving the car park.
It was not difficult to see how our engraving department could easily resolve this little problem for the client. We were able to offer a solution based around using a 1.5mm thick white/blue laser engravable acrylic laminate. Using our high resolution Co2 laser system, we quickly prepared a sample for approval, and to illustrate how quickly we could generate the real thing if it was selected as being suitable.
The sample was perfect, exactly what was required, and within hours of receiving the enquiry, the order was placed to proceed with the preparation for the 50 off plates. Having the capability of producing accurate samples within minutes of taking an enquiry is a tremendous help to both the customer and to our sales team, as it allows everyone to see just what is being envisaged, and ultimately, produced.
Our software capabilities are quite extensive, and we are able to laser image most designs, simple or complex onto just about anything receptive (except PVC, as this melts and gives off a toxic gas!). We can work with your files as easily as we can with our own. If this client had wished their wordmark to be imaged on the plate, that could have been incorporated without any additional fuss.
