When local print specialists Printed Solutions Limited took delivery of their new Vauxhall Vivaro van, they knew that they needed to get the livery created and applied quickly. The opportunity to dress the new (and clean) van was not always going to be available, especially once the busy daily delivery schedule was in place.
They contacted Evans Graphics with their ideas and asked us to help review the sketch and provide the necessary outline template which is a real design aid when trying to make a vehicle livery work first time. We were able to offer the correct template file and within a short space of time the design was being finalised.
Once we had agreed the correct colours of the 7 year life vinyl to work with, we were able to set to and prepare the vinyl graphics for application to the vehicle. The van was booked in for a weekend, and on the Friday afternoon we took delivery of the soon to be dressed Vivaro and began the application.
A team of two worked on the vehicle and painstakingly fitted the vinyl skins to the lower portions of the sides. This proved very demanding as the curves and contours stretched their skills, especially whilst trying to maintain a straight appearance to the texts running down both sides.
The installation took a little longer than planned, but the end result was ultimately very pleasing, and so far has been well received by all of Printed Solution's customers who can now spot them arriving from a great distance with their striking and distinctive livery. |
