In June this year we reviewed and tested several direct to substrate print machines. We were impressed with the quality and performance of the Du Pont Cromaprint and knew that we had to have one in our stable of digital print equipment. Ours was the fifth installation in the UK and by the end of July our machine was being delivered. The Cromaprint is capable of printing in seven colours up to almost 2.2 metres wide onto either flat sheet stock or roll fed materials. With a wide ranging colour gamut it certainly punches out the colour no matter what we image onto!
Matching it's capability, but used solely for proofing is a Du Pont Largo engine which is no slouch in the output department either. With a 1120mm print width the Largo creates high quality 2400di Cromalin proofs in double quick time. These two units are fingerprinted and colour matched to ensure we obtain a perfect result time and time again. Within days of the installation being signed off the new high quality print engine was producing some very impressive looking digital print work directly onto all manner of materials.

In it's very first week we even imaged a full colour graphic onto a painted steel radiator cover which was over 1.7mtrs x 610mm x 40mm deep (yes, 40mm deep!). The limits of this machine have yet to be fully explored, so why not come and see what we can do for you with it's high speed, high quality digital output? In the shot to the right you can see a full out 2.1mtr wide x 3mtr length board being imaged, part of a set of six graphic boards that were produced by Evans Graphics.
