January 2008 - Evans Graphics have made a significant further capital investment. Building on the success of their four previous Zund finishing table purchases, a new purpose built 1600XL model has been ordered for installation at their Maidenhead site. The new table has an impressive 2.2mtr x 3.2mtr work area and will be equipped with the latest 1Kw routing head and other exacting tools. This new table will allow Evans to continue their wide format POS sales drive, offering even more choice of finishing capability than ever before.
The new machine is slated to arrive Wk.13 and will be available for immediate use following commissioning and trials. At the same time, all of the existing Zund tables are to be upgraded to the latest hardware and software revision levels, in order that every machine is running on the same platform. This means that all of the skilled operators will very quickly be familiar with the new software, and will be able to maximise on it's winning advantage in the quickest possible time.
The ability to cut most materials upto 25mm thick to a precise shape and contour, in complete register to the print gives us a massive step up in our large format finishing capabilities, and we are very excited about the possibilities this new investment will afford us.
