 With the first six months of our trading year behind us, we now move into our strongest quarter. Sales post Christmas have  been good, and quotations are being converted into sales at a high rate. Delivery lead times are still reasonably good on all products, though we do expect to see binders become a little extended as the weeks continue. The Studio upgrades have now been completed with both sites back to full operational strength.

In view of the high demand for cut and creased polypropylene products, we are reviewing our creasing process to see if we can speed production up, and take away some of the pain involved in hand firming the spines of creased folders and such like. At present we are evaluating a semi-automated creasing machine which may prove to be valuable to us in V creasing the material after die-cut conversion - more news to follow when available.

 Additional security for industrial estate - Following a spate of vandalism and burnt out vehicles appearing overnight on the (Maidenhead) industrial estate, Evans Graphics sought with other tenants to obtain permission from the landlord and the local council for the erection of a pair of security gates at the main entrance.

Hughes Wynne joins Evans Graphics Ltd.

During August 2003, Steve Hughes, Managing Director and proprietor was approached by Steve Tilbury, Evans Graphics Ltd Managing Director with a view to discussing the sale and acquisition of Hughes Wynne Ltd.'s business.
